Executive Board Elections will occur in person, on September 29th 2023
We will be meeting at ACI Boland Architects
WHO CAN VOTE?
Members based upon their membership category and in good standing shall be entitled to vote at NOMAKC meetings
WHO IS UP FOR ELECTION?
The following officers are up for election: Vice President/ President Elect, Co-Director of Education & Outreach - Collegiate, Co-Director of Education & Outreach - Project Pipeline, Director of Membership, and Co-Director of Membership.
WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT?
If you are voted in to be an officer of NOMAKC you get an opportunity to leave your mark. This is a minimum one year commitment with an opportunity for 1 re-election!
BOARD POSITIONS
President
The President of NOMAKC shall be its Chief Executive Officer and shall have the responsibility and authority for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the organization under the general supervision of the Executive Committee and shall have such other powers and perform such other duties as the Executive Committee may from time to time prescribe. The President shall be a registered professional.
Vice President
The Vice President shall have such powers and perform such duties as the Executive Committee may from time to time prescribe. In the absence or inability of the President, the Vice President (President Elect) shall be designated by the Executive Committee to perform the duties of the President, and when so acting, shall have all the powers of, and shall be subject to all restrictions upon the President. The vice President shall be a registered professional.
Secretary
The Secretary shall keep, or cause to be kept, minutes of the meetings of the Executive Committee sign minutes of these meetings and other instruments requiring the signature of the Secretary; and perform other duties incident to the office of the Secretary.
Treasurer
The Treasurer shall make financial reports at each monthly meeting of the Executive Committee and general body meetings, cause independent audits of the books and financial records, and perform the entire duties incident to the office of the Treasurer. The Treasurer shall be the accounting officer of NOMAKC and shall keep full and accurate accounts of all financial transactions in books belonging to NOMAKC and shall pay funds only as authorized. Treasurer will handle oversight of the membership committee. The Treasurer shall be on the Finance Committee.
Parliamentarian-Historian
The Parliamentarian-Historian shall maintain order, interpret the By-Laws and perform other normal duties of Parliamentarian according to the Robert Rules of Order at meetings, and shall maintain an ongoing record of the events, projects, and history of the organization.
Public Relations
Develop and administer marketing strategies and materials. Administer organization website and social media. Prepare public relations announcements to mass and printed media. Recommend and administer community service projects.
Student Outreach (University Liaison)
Develop and administer all community outreach and youth education programs. Administer organization academic scholarship program
